Blykalla is collaborating with NEEXT, an engineering firm based in Belfort, France, to optimize the performance of the conventional island for our lead-cooled Small Modular Reactor (SMR) technology.
NEEXT is contributing its expertise in engineering, design, and advanced modeling to support this development. As an initial phase of our partnership, NEEXT has provided the analytical tools and technical support necessary to evaluate and select the optimal cold source configurations for our prospective sites, including both single-reactor and multi-reactor setups.
Our ongoing efforts with NEEXT are focused on designing a fully integrated power plant. This work aims to ensure the plant aligns with our core objectives: maintaining a compact, modular, and competitive design while ensuring the efficient use of natural resources, with a particular focus on water management. We appreciate the technical contributions the NEEXT team has brought to this project.
