Blykalla today announced the appointment of Erik Engellau-Nilsson, Managing Partner of Norrsken Launcher, as Chairman of the Board. The appointment comes at a critical moment for the company, as it moves from research and development toward commercial deployment and US expansion.
"Erik has been part of Blykalla's journey since 2022 and knows the company from the inside — as an investor, board member and operator," says Jacob Stedman, CEO of Blykalla. Erik has spent his career at the intersection of technology, impact and company-building. He worked closely with co-founder Niklas Adalberth at Klarna. The two went on to build the Norrsken Foundation, which Erik led as CEO and grew into one of Europe's leading hubs for impact entrepreneurship. Today he is Managing Partner of Norrsken Launcher, Norrsken's deep tech investment arm.
Erik has played an instrumental role for Blykalla since 2022, when Norrsken Launcher first backed the company. He has served on the Board since, and also as interim CEO prior to Jacob Stedman. Most recently, Norrsken Launcher co-led Blykalla's $50 million funding round alongside Oklo and Armada Investment — capital that is now accelerating the industrialization of the SEALER.
