Blykalla welcomes Johan Carlén as new Lead Electrical Engineer

We’re happy to welcome Johan Carlén to the Blykalla team.

Johan brings great experience in electronics and hardware development across a range of industries. Johan grew up in Lund and later studied Engineering Physics in Uppsala. Professionally, he started his career as an electronics engineer in the civil engineering sector at Trimble, working with total stations. He has developed digital hardware for airborne systems at Saab, and served as a system architect for cold-chain air freight containers. Most recently, he led a hardware design team at Excillum building X-ray sources for the research and inspection industry.

Johan comments: “This is a company starting a renaissance for nuclear energy production. I have been interested in this technology since I did my internship at Forsmark a long time ago. I believe that nuclear power is both safe and necessary to achieve energy independence and solving the carbon dioxide dilemma.”

We’re excited to have Johan on board as we scale up our electical engineering efforts.
