As we are growing rapidly, we are ending this year with welcoming several new members to the Blykalla team. We are happy to introduce Sarah, Anders, Haseeb, Jacqueline and Antony.
Sarah Milliken – Fuel Fabrication Specialist
Originally from Canada, Sarah brings deep expertise in materials chemistry with a strong focus on inorganic synthesis and advanced characterization.
Sarah holds an Honours Cooperative Bachelor of Science in Chemistry with a Materials Chemistry Specialization from the University of Waterloo, and a PhD in Inorganic Chemistry from the University of Alberta. Her doctoral research explored the structure–property relationships of silicon nanocrystals.
Following her PhD, she joined Cuberg, Northvolt’s advanced R&D centre as a Senior Scientist within the Materials R&D team. There, she helped design and evaluate novel cell components and chemistries for lithium-metal batteries, supporting applications across aerospace and automotive industries.
At Blykalla, Sarah will work as a Fuel Fabrication Specialist, contributing to the development, qualification, and scale-up of uranium nitride fuel.

Anders Hägg - Quality Manager
Anders is our new Quality Manager, bringing more than 30 years of experience in the automotive industry working with Quality management. Throughout his career, he has built and led quality organizations, introduced Lean methodologies, and implemented management systems that have achieved certification across multiple markets.
His background includes senior roles such as Nordic Quality Manager at Trifast, where he supported major Swedish customers, as well as consultancy work for companies including Alfa Laval and Apoteket. Anders has also worked at Öhlins Racing and most recently as Head of Quality at CabinAir where he led the implementation of a process-oriented management system that gained certifications in both Sweden and China.
As our Quality Manager Anders will be in charge of the development of our Quality Management System and the overall build-up of our quality function within Blykalla.

Haseeb ur Rehman - Nuclear & Safety Engineer
Haseeb joins Blykalla as a Nuclear & Safety Engineer, bringing extensive experience in nuclear engineering across academia, international organizations, and research environments. His work has spanned Pakistan, the Republic of Korea, Austria and now Sweden.
Haseeb holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and both Master’s and PhD degrees in Nuclear Engineering. He previously served as an Associate Professor in the Department of Nuclear Engineering at the Pakistan Institute of Engineering and Applied Sciences, and has contributed as a Consultant and Expert within the Nuclear Power Technology Development Section of the IAEA.
At Blykalla he will contribute to the development of our nuclear safety analyses and reactor physics modelling to support the design and verification of core systems.

Jacqueline “Jackie” Hammar - Office Manager
Jackie joins Blykalla as our new Office Manager. She brings amazing energy, structure and expertise in administration and service leadership.
Jackie has spent 19 years working in TV and theatre as a Service Manager, Executive Assistant, and Stylist. She also engages in charity work by running a second-hand platform, raising money for women and children in shelters.
Her role as Office Manager will be a much-needed addition to our growing team, making sure that our daily operations run smoothly and helping us strengthen a supportive and inspiring workplace culture.

Antony Varghese - Commissioning Engineer
Antony joins Blykalla with broad experience in high-tech and automotive manufacturing. His work has centered on ensuring efficient commissioning, safe start-up, and robust equipment performance.
He holds a Master’s degree in Product Development and Material Engineering from Jönköping University, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Christ University in India. He has previously worked with Northvolt, Danx AB, and the Avaran Group of Companies, contributing to automation projects, process optimization, and predictive maintenance initiatives.
Antony is joining us as Commissioning Engineer, working on-site in Oskarshamn with SEALER-E and preparing our rigs for full operation.
