Blykalla welcomes Joy Sfeir as Lead Mechanical Engineer for SEALER-E

With a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the American University of Beirut, Joy Sfeir brings over a decade of experience in mechanical design, manufacturing, and equipment engineering across the FMCG and battery manufacturing sectors.

Prior to joining Blykalla, Joy was a Senior Equipment Engineer at Northvolt, where he led the technical development and delivery of both prototype and serial production equipment. His work combined deep technical expertise with Lean manufacturing, process optimization, and innovative engineering. Earlier in his career, Joy held engineering and sales roles at Technica International and Technica Europe, delivering complete turnkey industrial solutions for multinational companies.
His background working in fast-paced, high-stakes industrial environments makes him a key addition to the team as we bring advanced nuclear technology closer to commercialization.

In his new role, Joy will lead the mechanical design for our SEALER‑E project — an electrically‑powered prototype reactor used to test and validate key systems for Blykalla’s future nuclear reactors. As Lead Mechanical Engineer, he will drive the mechanical design of the reactor system, ensuring optimal performance and manufacturability.
