Blykalla welcomes Christian Duvell as a Category Manager

Christian joins the team as a category manager with focus on systems and components. He brings nearly two decades of experience in strategic sourcing, category management, and supplier collaboration—built across some of Sweden’s leading industrial companies. His background includes senior roles at Northvolt, Siemens, and Scania, where he worked closely with manufacturing, mechanical components, and complex supplier ecosystems.

At Northvolt, Christian served as a Senior Purchasing Manager focused on mechanical parts and processes—a role requiring agility in fast-paced production and technical complexity. At Siemens, he was project manager for gas turbines. Prior to that, he spent nearly a decade at Scania, where he worked across fuel tanks, sheet metal, and standard parts procurement.

Christian shares: “Beyond the clear benefits of energy stability and low CO₂ emissions, Blykalla challenges the status quo by using only a fraction of the uranium typically needed. On top of that, the half-life of the used fuel is much shorter than in conventional nuclear. Combined with the cost advantages of small modular reactors—which allow energy costs to compete with wind power—these factors are game changers for both energy and the climate challenge.”

At Blykalla, Christian will help strengthen our hardware and supply chain capabilities as we scale up development and production. His understanding of supplier relations and industrial processes is a valuable asset as we move from prototype toward industrialization.
